I was introduced to Pinterest a while ago, but it wasn't until recently I received a invite to join the 'pinning world'; and I've been obsessed since. Actually, you can now call me the pinning queen because it seems that's all I do lately... sign in to Pinterest and pin my little heart out. For those of you who live a sheltered life and are not sure what Pinterest is, well you are missing out. It's basically a way to create mini inspiration boards of whatever your heart desires. Check out a few of mine here!

French Affair
Eek! New favorite alert!! If you've followed my blog at all you know that I'm in love with Essie nail polish. I'm always searching for new colors to add to my ridiculously enormous collection and my newest addition is French Affair. It may look like a regular pale pink, but when applied to your nails it has the slightest lavender hue. Check it, lovies.

Spring Preview
With the London and New York fashion shows already underway this season, the colorful fabrics and edgy trends are bountiful to say the least; but not to be overlooked are the newest beauty trends. I've done the research, now all you have to do is wear the trends!

Diane von Furstenberg's makeup artists created neon pink lips using MAC Pro Pigment in Magenta Madness & MAC Pro Chromagraphic pencil in Process Magenta. MAC's Pro Pigment can be used as eye-shadow, lipstick or blush, and if you haven't checked it out yet I suggest you get your hiney to the MAC counter.

Coral hues were also flooding the runways. Whether found on your eyes, cheeks, lips or nails, it's probably a good idea to invest in some coral makeup!

Deep purple eyeshadow ruled the runway at the Jason Wu show. This also just happens to be my favorite color, so I will definitely be working this trend this spring.

Five Happy Things
Today was 74 and breezy and I was in heaven. Beautiful weather means windows down and music up, which makes everyone smile. So since it has been a smiley kind of day, here are a few things that are making my smile!

My current nail polish, Essie Lilacism. This lavender-gray color makes me long for Spring.

My homemade trail mix which is made of dry roasted almonds, peanuts, dried cranberries, and pieces of dark chocolate.

My new nude pumps that I'm beyond obsessed with.

I'm not a huge fan of vanilla because it can be so overpowering, but this body wash mixed with blackberry scents is perfect.

My pearl headband that I can throw on to make any type of hair day a good one.

Mint Candy Apple
So today's blog post is going to be a little bleh. Well because I am feeling a little bleh today. Last night, after work, I drove 2 hours to Asheville to attend a concert with friends. This was totally a last minute, spontaneous decision, but it was absolutely worth it. I didn't get home until 3a.m. and I have been fighting my eyelids all. day. long. BUT- I did get some wonderful compliments on my current nail polish. It reminds me of Spring & St. Patrick's Day, which both happen to be in birthday month(this will be explained at a later date.)! Check it, lovies.
And now I am off to get some much needed rest.

Shellacking It
Have you heard about the new nail trend Shellac? Creative Nail Designs, the creators of Shellac, claim the polish lasts 14 days without chipping and dries instantly; basically, once it has been applied you can go about your daily chores without worrying about smudging your polish. I'm already sold! There is nothing I hate more than smudging my polish after a recent mani & pedi. Right now there are only 12 nail colors available, but I'm hoping that number will soon grow. You can visit the CND website here to learn more about Shellac and find a local salon offering Shellac services. One of the glamour.com bloggers actually tried out the hype of Shellac and posted her thoughts and experience here. Stay tuned for pictures of my own Shellac manicure!

Manicures for Lunch
I sometimes believe my obsession for glitter and sparkles is a little over the top, but this time of year begs for the shine and metallic. Although, I would love to embellish all of my clothing with glittered beads and sparkles in some way, my everyday profession might find that a tad tacky. So I opt for glittered nails. Today on my lunch break I headed across the street to the nail salon to get my glitter fix. Here I used two coats of OPI Bogota Blackberry and one coat of Revlon Star followed by a clear top coat. Of course, you could use any base color to achieve your perfect holiday nails!
