If you haven't heard of Adele before you are lost in life. This girl is so talented and I'm in love with her music. Her first album 19 was great, but her newest release 21 is even better. Check out this track from 21. You. will. fall. in. love.

As wedding season approaches I find myself searching for the perfect dress; but with wedding season comes bridal, lingerie, and bachelorette parties and that's a lot of dresses. With vibrant colors popping up everywhere this year any color you choose will be appropriate for any event. Though, my rule for weddings is to never, ever wear white and I always try to find out which colors the bridesmaids are wearing so I don't end up looking like one of them. Since I have started my dress shopping early, here are a few of my choices!

Soup Bowls

March has brought many wonderful rainy days, which requires lots of soup and hot liquids. My dad and I have made several different kinds of soups the past couple weeks including Italian Wedding Soup, Pasta faziole, and different variations of vegetable soups. I found these bowls on Anthropologie's website that would be perfect for soup. With their colorful combinations that remind me of the homes in Charleston, I believe these would brighten any dreary day.

Vegas, Baby

This past weekend consisted of playing outside in the Spring weather and a very important meeting with my broads. You see, we just booked our first ever trip to Vegas! Oh My Gosh is right. We absolutely cannot wait to travel to the vivacious city and pretend like we're celebrities, sitting in the cabana all day with a pool boy to bring us drinks, and spending money like it's endless. Our suite has it's own private hot tub and room for a party of 50. But now that the room is booked, I must start planning my outfits; and yes it will probably take me 2 months to figure out exactly what to what to wear. Be on the lookout for possible outfit posts in the near future, because I am beyond excited about this upcoming trip!!

HOLY CRAP. BIRTHDAY MONTH

photo

So, I'm not quite sure why it has taken me 11 days to post about the BEST month of the year- well probably because I have been in a complete daze the past two weeks- but guess what?!? It's BIRTHDAY MONTH! Yes, I celebrate an entire month mostly because my birthday falls within the last couple days of March, but also because it's just more fun. I mean what month can top Spring starting, Daylight Savings Time, London and Milan fashion week, St. Patrick's Day, Spring Break, March Madness, the beginning of baseball season, and my birthday?!?

Spring Preview

With the London and New York fashion shows already underway this season, the colorful fabrics and edgy trends are bountiful to say the least; but not to be overlooked are the newest beauty trends. I've done the research, now all you have to do is wear the trends!

Diane von Furstenberg's makeup artists created neon pink lips using MAC Pro Pigment in Magenta Madness & MAC Pro Chromagraphic pencil in Process Magenta. MAC's Pro Pigment can be used as eye-shadow, lipstick or blush, and if you haven't checked it out yet I suggest you get your hiney to the MAC counter.

Coral hues were also flooding the runways. Whether found on your eyescheekslips or nails, it's probably a good idea to invest in some coral makeup!

Deep purple eyeshadow ruled the runway at the Jason Wu show. This also just happens to be my favorite color, so I will definitely be working this trend this spring.

Natural Glow

Ever since a family member was diagnosed with melanoma cancer, I vowed to never step foot in a tanning salon again. I also made huge amends to my skin care regimen. I will not go out in the sun without 30 spf or higher, and I make sure to use skin care products that have spf in them. Honestly, it has been difficult not to take the easy route and jump in a tanning bed for a few minutes to achieve that tan glow I love, but I have found a few other ways to get a nice tan look without the harmful effects. I love spray tans, but I believe the best way to achieve a non-orange look is to find a spray tan artist who knows what they're doing. Luckily for me, my good friend is just that, but spray tans can be expensive so I opt for a tan in the bottle. I love Jergens Natural Glow, and although the smell is not so nice I use it at night and wash it off in the morning to achieve the color I want.

Root Problems

If you color you hair, which most ladies do, you understand how annoying it can be to look at those awful roots. Since my hair is blonde at the moment, my 'root problem' occurs more often. Celebrity hair stylist and colorist Rita Hazen totally understands our problem ladies, and has created a root coloring spray that can be used daily until you make it to your colorist to permanently fix your 'root problem'. Although I have not tried this product yet, I love the idea of fooling my eyes and yours to believe I have freshly colored roots. If you happen to check it out before me, tell me what you think!

Uninspired

For the past few days I have been a little uninspired. Sorry for the beyond boring posts, but I believe my lack of inspiration is because I need a MAJOR vacay right now. Maybe to somewhere like here...

With a little bit of this...

and then finish off with this...

Any one want to go?!

Fizzy-Izze

I've never actually tried the pretty, sparkling drinks by Izze(I fully intend to after this posting), but I believe the vibrant colors could assist me in my future decorating. Whether deciding wall colors or accent pieces I will definitely be using the drinks as inspiration, and an after shopping drink!
